Feminist Culture, Community & Digital Censorship

A Repro Uncensored x PLAYBABE collaboration

Digital censorship does more than remove individual accounts. For feminist, queer, artistic, and cultural communities, losing access to a platform can mean losing years of work, archives, audiences, professional networks, and spaces for community building.

Repro Uncensored collaborated with Berlin-born feminist creative community PLAYBABE to create a pamphlet responding to this growing reality and exploring what it means to build feminist culture when the digital spaces we rely on can disappear overnight.

We wanted to create something truly feminist: bold, provocative, political, useful, and impossible to quietly remove.

When communities disappear from platforms

In August 2025, PLAYBABE’s main Instagram account, @PLAYBABE0, was permanently removed under accusations of “fake identity.” In April 2026, Berlin-based party collective Neowarras was also removed after being accused of “promoting sex trafficking and forced labor.” Years of work, archives, contacts, and community networks disappeared overnight.

Their experiences are part of a much broader pattern.

Repro Uncensored has documented account removals and restrictions affecting feminist movements, queer communities, artists, nightlife, and cultural spaces. When these accounts disappear, the consequences extend far beyond social media: cultural organizations can lose access to their audiences, events can lose their primary communication channels, and communities can lose important spaces for connection and organizing.

Creating something that cannot simply be taken down

Social media has become essential infrastructure for independent culture, but these are spaces controlled by private technology companies.

So we wanted to take the conversation offline.

Designed by PLAYBABE, the pamphlet transforms digital censorship into something physical: something that can be printed, folded, passed between people, distributed at events, and shared without relying on an algorithm.

Its message is deliberately unapologetic:

They tried to erase us. But we still here & hotter than ever.

PLAYBABE is a Berlin-born FEM* community and global creative agency dedicated to amplifying women’s voices through culture, strategy, and bold creativity. Its work spans fashion, art, activism, publishing, photography, and events, with a focus on radical empowerment and collective freedom.

The collaboration brings that feminist creative approach together with Repro Uncensored’s work documenting censorship, supporting affected communities, challenging platform decisions, and pushing for greater transparency and accountability from Big Tech.

From digital erasure to physical presence

The collaboration also came to life through NO LONGER ONLINE, a Berlin club night created by Repro Uncensored with PLAYBABE and Neowarras in response to the growing wave of account removals affecting queer, femme, nightlife, and cultural communities.

The event was built around a simple idea: when platforms remove spaces for connection, communities create them somewhere else.

NO LONGER ONLINE transformed digital erasure into physical presence, bringing people together through music, culture, nightlife, and community.
